My first introduction to meditation was at the Meditation Center in Minneapolis, MN. There I received a personal meditation mantra from Swami Veda (Dr. Usharbudh Arya), its founder. Since then, I have experimented with many forms of mediation, finally landing on Mindfulness Mediation.

Mindfulness Meditation is a secular form of meditation that is over 2500 years old, with its roots in Buddhism. It can be described as being aware in the present moment, allowing thoughts to arise without bias or judgement. It can transform your life, as you bring that awareness to your life off of your meditation seat. I feel that of all my practices, Mindfulness Meditation is the one that has comforted me the most through my battles with cancer.

I am certified to teach through Dharma Moon and Tibet House (the Dalai Lama’s U.S. organization).
